Robotic center for metro car roof welding
The robotic center is designed to perform assembly and welding on the manufacture of metro car roofs, is re-adjustable and provides assembly for welding of 2 roof models. To ensure the assembly of roof frames of two types, the center is equipped with removable jigs. The jig is installed on the supporting surfaces of the base on the pins in a strictly fixed position.
Operation principle
The constituent elements of the roof frame are laid on the supporting surfaces of the stand according to the manufacturing process, where they are fixed by stops and welding. At the end of the roof frame welding, the groups of clamps are released, which provides further laying of the sheathing sheets. Resistance welding of sheathing sheets to the roof frame is carried out.

The robotic center provides:
- positioning and reliable fixation of each roof part;
- free access to weld seams locations;
- possibility of resistance welding of the top sheet of the roof;
- possibility of welding sheathing sheets (while the clamping units of the frame parts are folding);
- excludes deformation of parts when the welder moves along the sheathing sheets with welding equipment.
