Automatic welding stand for center sill and I beam welding

The stand has been designed for center sill and I beam assembly and automatic welding in shielding gas atmosphere using automatic seam tracking system.

Operating principle

The center sill is placed into the plant and securely clamped. The locator then moves into its working position, and the I-beam is positioned on top of the center sill. A command is sent to the trolley, which travels along the plant, enclosing the I-beam and stopping at precisely defined locations to perform centering and vertical clamping.

Next, the welding unit moves behind the trolley along the plant and performs tack welding of the I-beam to the center sill.

After tack welding is completed, the trolley exits the working zone of the plant, the first welding unit returns to the center, and the second welding unit moves to the start of the weld. Both welding units then simultaneously perform full welding of the I-beam to the center sill.

Once welding is completed, the welding units and the trolley return to their initial positions. All operations are performed automatically.
