The roller conveyor is designed for the combined translational and rotational movement of pipes during various technological processes.
It consists of a frame, idler roller supports, driven roller supports, a rotation mechanism, and tie rods. The frame is a welded metal structure that holds all conveyor components as a single unit and anchors the conveyor to the shop floor using foundation bolts. The idler roller support is responsible for pipe support during transportation. It consists of two adjustable swivel brackets with rollers, a rotating base, a locking mechanism. The support is connected to the frame via an axle. The swivel brackets allow for adjusting the roller spacing to accommodate various pipe diameters and can be locked in the required position.
Application
The roller conveyor is used for transporting pipes and round stock during operations where not only linear motion but also pipe rotation around its own axis is required.
Roller conveyors are used in shot blast cleaning, ultrasonic flaw detection, washing, painting and external coating of pipes.
