The shot blasting room is designed for cleaning the outer surface of car frames with shot. The cleaning degree is up to the 2nd degree according to GOST 9.402-80 (SA 2 SIS 055900).
Description of equipment operation
The work in the chamber is carried out as follows: the frame is installed on the bogies using the workshop lifting and transport equipment. The drive of the traction winch is turned on and the bogie moves into the working space of the chamber. The chamber doors are closed and two operators clean the car frame.
The operator is equipped with a full set of individual protective clothing and a system for preparing and supplying breathing air. Depending on the season, the climate control system has two modes for preparing the air for the operator’s breathing – heating or cooling.
For the convenience of cleaning metal structures by height, platforms for operators are provided in the working space of the chamber, installed in the necessary places of the chamber.
The chamber is equipped with lighting and ventilation systems.
