This device uses a convection drying method transferring warmth from the drying agent to the sand. By contact with the sand the moisture evaporates. The drying drum has a direct action and consists of a welded shell with blades inside. There are 2 support rings with rollers. The drum rotates on the rollers in circumgyration. The drum drive is electro-mechanical. A feed hopper is fitted at one end surface and the burner is mounted at the other end surface. The drum is installed on the frame with inclination of 1-5 degrees towards the discharge of dried sand. The device includes also a fuel tank, air preparation unit and an electrical cabinet with a control panel.
